It's not cope.It's research.
Every phase of the Protocol is built on the boring basics that published studies support. Here's what they found, in plain English.
These studies tested the basics, not Chud2Chad. Results vary.
First impressions
People shown a face for just 100 milliseconds made judgments of attractiveness and trustworthiness that barely changed when they got longer to look.
What it means: the first glance counts. Skin, hair, grooming and posture are what people see in it.
Willis & Todorov (2006), Psychological Science 17(7)Sleep shows
The same people were photographed after normal sleep and after sleep deprivation. Observers rated the sleep-deprived photos less attractive, less healthy and more tired. Small study.

Axelsson et al. (2010), BMJ 341: c6614Daily SPF
In a randomised trial over about 4.5 years, adults assigned to daily sunscreen showed significantly less skin ageing than those who used it at their own discretion.
Used in: Reset, the 3-step routine.
Hughes et al. (2013), Annals of Internal Medicine 158Food shows
In a small study, eating more fruit and veg measurably changed skin colour within six weeks, and observers rated the slightly warmer tone healthier and more attractive. 35 participants; partly industry-funded.
Used in: Build.
Whitehead et al. (2012), PLoS ONE 7(3)Posture
In video-coded speed dates, an open, expansive posture was the behaviour that best predicted a "yes". The effect was stronger for men.
Used in: Reset and Aura.
Vacharkulksemsuk et al. (2016), PNAS 113(15)Talking to people
Commuters who talked to a stranger reported a happier journey than those who sat alone, even though most people predicted the opposite.
Used in: Aura, daily social reps.
Epley & Schroeder (2014), J. Exp. Psychology: GeneralIn a habit study, new daily behaviours took a median of about 66 days to become automatic, with a wide range (18–254). Exercise habits took longer. That's why it's 90.
Lally et al. (2010), European Journal of Social Psychology 40(6)These studies tested the basics, not Chud2Chad. Results vary. Chud2Chad is general self-improvement guidance, not medical advice.
